Prom & Graduation
Limo Service Toronto
Safe, supervised, and stylish group transportation for prom night and graduation celebrations — with the peace of mind parents want and the experience students will remember.
A Big Night, Handled Responsibly
Prom and graduation are milestone nights, and for parents, they're also nights that come with real safety questions: who's driving, where are they going, and how do we know everyone gets home safely? True North Limos has provided prom and graduation transportation to Toronto-area high schools for years, and we built our process specifically around answering those questions before parents have to ask.
Every chauffeur on a prom or graduation booking is licensed, insured, and background-checked, just as on any other booking. We maintain a strict no-alcohol policy in the vehicle and communicate pickup and drop-off details directly with parents, not just students, so there's a clear record of the plan for the evening.
Group Transportation Options
Most prom groups book either our stretch limousine, which seats up to 10 students in a single vehicle with mood lighting and a sound system, or our Sprinter van for larger friend groups of up to 14. Both options let the whole group travel together — to dinner, to the venue, and back home — rather than splitting into separate cars and losing each other for parts of the night.
Coordinating With Parents
We understand prom night is different from a typical adult booking. We're glad to coordinate pickup times and locations directly with parents, confirm the planned route and stops in advance, and provide updates during the evening if requested. Many parents appreciate having a single point of contact with our dispatch team rather than relying solely on their teenager's phone for updates.
Graduation Celebrations
Beyond prom, we provide the same group transportation for graduation day celebrations — moving between the ceremony, family gatherings, and evening celebrations with friends. It's a flexible booking that can be structured around your specific schedule for the day.
Planning Your Route
A typical prom booking includes a pickup from a home or a group meeting point, a stop for photos if requested, transportation to dinner if applicable, drop-off at the school or venue for the dance, and a final pickup and drop-off home at the end of the night. We build the booking around your group's actual plan rather than a fixed package.
Booking for Your School or Group
Many of our prom bookings come from groups of friends splitting the cost of a single vehicle, while others are organized by a parent committee for a larger group of students. Either way, we recommend booking at least 4 to 6 weeks ahead of prom season, as availability for peak dates in May and June fills early.
Setting Clear Expectations With Students
Before pickup, we recommend parents and students agree on a few basics with our dispatch team: confirmed pickup and final drop-off times, the exact route and stops planned for the evening, and a clear understanding that our no-alcohol policy applies for the full duration of the booking. Having this agreed in advance, rather than negotiated in the moment, tends to make the evening smoother for everyone involved.
Group Coordination for Multiple Pickups
Most prom bookings involve picking up several students from different homes before heading to dinner or the venue. We plan the pickup route in advance based on the addresses provided, sequencing stops to minimize total travel time so the group isn't sitting in the vehicle longer than necessary before the night even begins.
After Prom: Grad Parties & Late-Night Pickups
Some families also book us for the after-prom portion of the evening — a late-night pickup from the dance to bring the group to a supervised after-party, or simply a safe ride home at the end of the night. This can be booked as part of the same reservation or arranged separately, depending on your group's plans.
Why Parents Choose Professional Transportation for Prom
Prom night carries real risks that professional transportation directly addresses: impaired driving, unfamiliar late-night routes, and the simple unpredictability of a group of teenagers coordinating their own rides home. Booking a single vehicle for the whole group removes the temptation for students to drive themselves or rely on a peer who may not be a fully reliable driver. It also gives parents a single point of contact — our dispatch team — rather than trying to track multiple students' individual plans across different vehicles.
School-Organized vs. Independent Group Bookings
We work with both formats. Some schools or parent councils organize group transportation centrally, booking multiple vehicles for the full graduating class and coordinating payment as a group. Other bookings come directly from a smaller friend group splitting costs independently. Either approach works well with our booking process — we simply need a confirmed pickup list, addresses, and timing regardless of how the group is organized.
Graduation Ceremony Day Logistics
On graduation day itself, families often want transportation between the ceremony venue, a family lunch or dinner, and an evening celebration with friends — three distinct legs that don't always involve the same group of people. We can structure this as a single hourly booking that flexes between family and friend groups throughout the day, or as separate bookings if that's a cleaner fit for your schedule.
